Job summary

Simpsonville Post Acute in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality therapy on a full-time basis. The role focuses on communication, cognition, and swallowing function for residents.

You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, supervise CFYs and students, document outcomes, collaborate with the care team, and participate in care conferences. CFY candidates are welcome; full benefits include health, PTO, and 401k match.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology and SC license.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise CFYs or students.
• Familiarity with PCC and Casamba.
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulations.
• Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs.
• Conduct staff training and in-service education.
• Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies.
