Job summary

Simpsonville Post Acute in Simpsonville, SC, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Full-time PRN therapy role. The position offers compensation of $45-$50 per hour and focuses on improving residents’ communication, cognition, and swallowing functions under physician orders.

The ideal candidate has a Master's or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology, an active SC SLP license, and experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings. Supervision of CFYs or students is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active South Carolina SLP license (in good standing).
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred.
• Familiarity with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulations.
• Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs.
• Conduct staff training and in-service education.
• Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies.
