Job summary

Simpsonville Post Acute is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy on a PRN basis. The role focuses on communication, cognition, and swallowing function for residents in Simpsonville, SC.

The position offers full-time status in title, with competitive hourly pay ranging $45–$50 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities across the facility network. CFYs or students can be supervised as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active South Carolina SLP license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred.
• Familiarity with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes per regulations.
• Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance.
• Conduct staff training and in-service education.
• Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies.
