Job summary

PACS Group in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy on a full-time basis. The role focuses on improving residents' communication, cognition, and swallowing function in a skilled nursing setting.

You will evaluate residents, develop individualized plans, supervise CFYs or students, and collaborate with physicians and the inter-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active South Carolina SLP license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred.
• Familiarity with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes per regulations.
• Supervise CFYs, CFYs and students as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs.
• Conduct staff training and in-service education.
• Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies.
