Job summary

Simpsonville Post Acute in Simpsonville, SC is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy services on a PRN basis. The role focuses on helping residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

The position offers competitive pay of $45-$50 per hour, opportunities to supervise CFYs or students, and benefits including health/dental/vision, life, PTO, and a 401k with match.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active South Carolina SLP license (in good standing).
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred.
• Familiarity with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulations.
• Supervise CFYs and students as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs.
• Conduct staff training and in-service education.
• Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies.
