Job summary

Lutheran Social Services CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence seeks a Shelter Advocate to support residents in Franklin County. The role includes greeting residents, coordinating shelter services, and assisting with donations and crisis response.

Training and a commitment to serving victims of domestic violence are essential. The position offers full-time or part-time schedules with days or evenings and pay up to $18/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greets residents and volunteers; provides information and supplies for shelter services.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the shelter facility.
  • Assigns and supervises resident service work; encourages participation in agency services.
  • Tracks attendance, bed count, and shelter capacity; communicates issues to supervisor.
  • Assists with donations, intake support, and crisis hotline back-up as needed.
