Qualifications

  • Must have strong communication and crisis-intervention skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Experience in direct human services is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets volunteers, residents, and prospective residents and provides information and supplies.
  • Maintains cleanliness of shelter facilities including dorms, hallways and lounges.
  • Assigns and oversees resident service work and encourages participation in services.
  • Holds residents accountable and communicates issues to leadership as needed.
  • Takes attendance, tracks bed count, and manages shelter capacity.
  • Assists with donations and provides information on CHOICES and other services.
