Job summary

Sunscape Boca Raton is seeking a Wellness Associate (Caregiver) to provide direct care and support to residents based on individual service plans. The role reports to the Wellness Director/Manager and emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered service in a premier care community.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health status, maintaining supplies, and aiding in scheduling and education.

Qualifications

• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Maintain good health and be free of communicable diseases.
• Ability to work well with Residents, families, peers, and staff.
• Nurse's Aide registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, mobility).
• Monitor health status and report changes to Wellness Director/Manager.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering.
• Assist with scheduling and coverage when shifts are missed.
• Help orient and onboard new Wellness Associates.
• Respond to Resident emergencies with first-aid and arrange follow-up medical care.
• Keep Resident units clean, neat and orderly.
• Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
• Support meal selection, service and feeding as assigned.
• Assist with activity programs and maintain records as required.
• Participate in a minimum of 6 hours in-service education per year.
