Job summary

Sonata Viera in Melbourne, FL is seeking a compassionate Wellness Associate to provide care to residents based on their Service Plans. You will assist with daily living activities and support a safe, comfortable environment, under supervision of the Wellness Director.

Ideal candidates bring experience with seniors and a caring demeanor. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks up to 60 pounds and maintain health and safety standards; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Nurse’s Aide registration preferred but not required.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks up to 60 pounds.
• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers and staff.
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility.
• Monitor changes in health and report to the Wellness Director promptly.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and assist with ordering when needed.
• Help arrange shift coverage during unexpected call outs.
• Orient and onboard new Wellness Associates.
• Respond to emergencies with first aid and arrange follow-up care.
• Assist with meals, laundry, and keeping resident units neat and orderly.
• Maintain records and participate in in-service education.
