Job summary

Watercrest Senior Living in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking an AL Resident Caregiver to join our Resident Care team. You will provide day-to-day care for residents in a sensitive, professional manner and coordinate with dining and community programs to ensure quality care.

The role requires compassionate service to seniors, ability to stand/walk most of the day, and adherence to safety and infection control practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA/Home Health Aide preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Medication assistance license/certification as needed per state regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks.
• Review and participate in 24 Hour Reports, Daily Logs, Shift Cross-over Reports and verbal reports.
• Assist residents to and from scheduled programs.
• Promote personal choices, independence and spiritual needs.
• Perform laundry duties.
• Respond to resident emergency calls promptly.
• Ensure compliance with new resident care protocols.
• Report all resident changes to the Wellness Nurse or Resident Wellness Director.
• Maintain infection control practices.
• Report all accidents and incidents promptly to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ personal care information.
• Honor residents’ personal and property rights.
• Be prepared for emergencies including disasters, fire and other emergencies.
• Be in company uniform and resident ready at all times.
