Job summary

Discovery Village at Dominion Assisted Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents to activities and appointments. You will perform pre-trip vehicle inspections, assist residents with mobility, and ensure secure handling of wheelchairs and mobility devices.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, being at least 21, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL may be needed based on community requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; CDL may be required based on community needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe, and courteous transportation for residents to and from scheduled activities and appointments.
• Conduct visual vehicle inspections at the beginning of each shift and complete required inspection checklists and reports.
• Assist residents with mobility, including those with mobility challenges, into and out of vehicles safely.
• Secure wheelchairs, scooters, and mobility devices using appropriate restraint systems during transport.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adjusting as needed to ensure resident safety and service quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
