Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents to activities and events. You will assist passengers, secure wheelchairs, and coordinate with the base station to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, being 21+, and a valid CDL may be needed depending on the case. Experience in customer service and strict safety practices is preferred, with strong organization and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to activities.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices.
• Operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
• Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
