Job summary

Hallkeen-Assisted-Living-Communities seeks a dedicated Transportation Driver to provide safe, courteous service to residents, driving to social and other destinations per assigned schedule.

You will perform vehicle readiness, assist residents in and out, secure wheelchairs, report maintenance needs, and coordinate with Activity and Maintenance teams; maintain trip records and help with daily operations. A valid Passenger Endorsed License and five years of safe driving are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Passenger Endorsed License.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Five years proven safe driving record and knowledge of maintenance.
• Able to operate 7–16 passenger vehicles and related equipment.
• Experience with basic on-road maintenance and tire changes.
• Knowledge of streets within an 8-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle to social and other destinations per schedule.
• Assists residents into and out of vehicle safely.
• Secures wheelchairs to restraints during trips.
• Practices safe driving techniques at all times.
• Cleans and services vehicle and coordinates maintenance repairs.
• Maintains trip inspection and preventative maintenance records.
• Assists Activity and Maintenance departments as needed.
• Ensures charges are submitted daily for community travel expenses.
• Maintains a safe driving record and reports unsafe conditions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
