Sunrise Senior Living in New York is hiring a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents and assist with mobility needs. You will ensure resident comfort, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness.

This role supports resident safety and community experiences daily. The position requires a HS Diploma or GED, a valid license with a clean record, and CPR certification as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
