Job summary

The Glebe, a LifeSpire of Virginia community in Daleville, VA, is seeking a dependable Driver to transport residents to physician appointments and activities. You’ll help residents travel safely, load and unload vehicles, and keep paperwork with the nurse on duty.

Hours vary by transportation schedule; expect on-call rotation, possible holidays and weekends, and a focus on courtesy, confidentiality, and infection control.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia driver’s license in good standing.
• DMV license appropriate for the vehicle type.
• Annual physical if CDL is carried.
• Good communication and courteous interaction with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to local medical appointments and scheduled activities.
• Assist loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Submit supporting paperwork with nurse on duty.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure resident safety.
• Coordinate time-off with Transportation Coordinator within policy.
