Job summary

Shalom Parkside Senior Living in Richmond, VA is seeking a dependable Van Driver to transport residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social outings. You will assist residents in and out of the vehicle and ensure safety and comfort during every trip.

Strong customer service, punctuality, and clear communication with nursing staff are essential to success in this role as you represent the facility in the community.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving a passenger van, shuttle, or medical transport vehicle preferred.
• Ability to safely assist residents with wheelchairs, walkers, and mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from appointments, dialysis treatments, and community outings.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, including those with mobility limitations.
• Ensure residents are transported in a safe, comfortable, and timely manner.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of facility transportation vehicles.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, schedulers, residents, and families.
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing the facility in the community.
