Job summary

Goodwin Living in Alexandria, VA is seeking a part-time Transportation Aide to safely move residents, guests and staff using our transportation services. The role offers a $22/hr rate and a Monday–Friday 11:00am–3:00pm schedule with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities include transporting to appointments and events, checking vehicles, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting issues to the Transportation Manager. CPR certification is required and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to drive various vehicles including wheelchair van and shuttles.
• Willing to work at each campus as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; read/write English proficiently.
• Valid driver's license with insurable record.
• Public transportation or related field experience preferred.
• Annual occupational health assessments required.
• Maintain a current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents, guests and team members safely and courteously.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report maintenance needs; ensure cleanliness inside/out.
• Report damages or violations to Transportation Manager immediately.
• Assist in opening doors and loading/unloading passengers and equipment.
• Adhere to traffic laws and drive courteously at all times.
• Notify Transportation Manager of changes in driving record (accidents, tickets).
