Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks a dedicated transportation driver to move residents safely between community locations and activities. You will assist residents boarding and alighting, secure wheelchairs, and keep vehicles clean and ready for service, following established schedules.

Responsibilities include performing basic vehicle maintenance checks, maintaining trip records, and coordinating with the Engage Life and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of driving experience.
• Commercial driver's license required.
• Operate a 7–16 passenger bus and related equipment.
• Knowledge of local streets within an 8-mile radius.
• Must meet Atria Motor Vehicle Record policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, courteous transportation for residents.
• Drive to destinations per schedule; assist residents entering/exiting.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraints; practice safe driving at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle; report maintenance needs.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip inspections and records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to resident apartments.
• Support Engage Life Department in activities as needed.
• Ensure daily charges are submitted for travel expenses.
• Maintain a safe driving record; report unsafe conditions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
