Mitchell House is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility at Mitchell House. Essential duties include cleaning, laundry, waste management, inventory, safety and sanitation, team collaboration, and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: general cleaning including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: dispose of trash and recycling materials properly; keep waste areas clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: assist with restocking cleaning supplies and equipment; notify management of shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow safety and sanitation protocols for a hygienic environment.
• Team Collaboration: work with staff to keep the facility well-maintained and residents comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
