Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Housekeeper to keep our assisted living and memory care community clean, safe, and comfortable for residents and staff. You will handle housekeeping and laundry, maintain common areas, and support regulatory and safety standards while delivering friendly, respectful interactions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, compassion for the elderly, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to interact respectfully and maintain privacy.
• Excellent communication with residents and staff.
• Professional, friendly demeanor with residents and coworkers.
• First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, bathrooms, floors, dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and linen changes.
• Perform laundry services and maintain linen inventory.
• Keep common areas clean and presentable for residents and visitors.
• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, and carpet care.
• Ensure proper handling of cleaning supplies and safety procedures.
• Handle cleaning supplies safely and follow labeling requirements.
• Participate in training and on-the-job learning opportunities.
• Respond to resident emergencies and support safety plans.
