Job summary

Mitchell House is seeking a dedicated Dietetics Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of food safety, and teamwork. Previous food service experience is preferred, and you should enjoy working with seniors and delivering great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness/organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Resident support: Provide meal assistance to residents, helping with meal setup and serving; ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
• Inventory support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages or needs.
• Team collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen/dining operations and assist with prep and service.
• Resident engagement: fulfill special dietary requests and respect individual resident preferences.
