Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow menus, ensure quality and safety, and provide friendly service in a supportive dining environment.

We value teamwork, reliability, and compliance with sanitation standards; state law requires ServSafe or Food Handler certification. Training is provided, and residency in the service area is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Experience cooking in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
