Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, maintain quality, and ensure safety in a busy kitchen.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude. A high school diploma and food preparation experience are preferred; ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law. COVID-19 vaccination policies are in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Strong communication with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by State law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
