Job summary

Vivage in Denver is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, season, and serve nutritious meals for residents in our senior care community. You will follow menus, ensure food is served hot or cold as required, and adhere to safety standards and company policies.

The role involves large-quantity cooking, working with a team, supervising others in absence of Executive Chef, and maintaining kitchen equipment. High School diploma or GED preferred; prior dining room experience in senior care is a plus;

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dining department of a senior care community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Establish serving hot food hot and cold food cold.
• Follow standard recipes and use leftovers to minimize waste.
• Serve food according to dietary guidelines and check tray accuracy.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; work cooperatively with staff.
• Supervise other food service employees in the absence of the Executive Chef.
