Responsibilities

• Ensure all menu items are prepared and served according to departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure presentation of all menu items adheres to established standards.
• Prepare meals on menus and based on nutritional programs and individual plans.
• Ensure quality and safety of food by sanitation and proper storage of food items.
• Work at an efficient and consistent pace to ensure timely meal preparation.
• Ensure that each resident receives meals according to their dietary requirements.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Serve food in the proper portion size and at the proper temperature.
• Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information.
