Job summary

Denver North Care Center is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, season, and serve balanced meals for residents in a senior care setting. You will follow menus, ensure foods are palatable, safely prepared, and presented attractively, using leftovers to minimize waste.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, coordination with kitchen staff, and supervision in the absence of the Executive Chef. Must have a high school diploma or GED and prior dining dept. experience in senior care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in the dining department of a senior care community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and season meals for residents according to menus.
• Serve meals hot and appetizing while maintaining portion control.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and supplies; assist in waste reduction through leftovers management.
• Supervise other food service staff in absence of the Executive Chef.
