Gurnee Place Memory Care is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals for our senior living community. You’ll work with a friendly dining team, follow planned menus and dietary guidelines, and help create a warm dining experience for residents.

The role emphasizes food safety, proper portioning, timely service, and collaboration with the Dining Services Director. We value hospitality, integrity and teamwork, with opportunities for growth and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; senior living or healthcare setting a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and dietary needs (e.g. diabetic, low-sodium).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are tasty, properly portioned, and attractively presented.
• Follow recipes and food safety standards to a T.
• Assist with food prep, baking, and special meals as needed.
• Interact with residents warmly during meal service.
