Job summary

Gurnee Place Memory Care is seeking Caregivers to provide compassionate care to residents in our senior living community. You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, and daily routines while promoting safety and dignity.

We value hospitality, integrity, and respect and offer flexible schedules, training, and a supportive team. Prior caregiver experience is preferred; CPR/First Aid training is welcome or available on hire.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity and independence.
• Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.
• Assist with transferring and positioning residents, using proper safety techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor residents’ health and behavior, and report any changes or concerns to nursing or leadership staff.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families.
• Encourage resident participation in social and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
