Job summary

Gurnee Place Memory Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide exceptional support to residents in our memory care community. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, and safety, while collaborating with nurses and dining staff to deliver holistic care.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
• Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.
• Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on care practices and community updates.
