Job summary

BridgeWater Senior Living Community is seeking a Cook/Dietary Aide to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, while maintaining high cleanliness standards and complying with safety regulations.

Responsibilities include following daily menu plans, assisting at mealtime, plating attractively, maintaining proper food temperatures, managing stock rooms, labeling perishables, minimizing waste, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to follow recipes and safety standards to prepare meals.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and adhere to sanitation rules.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily menu plans and standardized recipes to prepare meals.
• Assist at the food line and serve meals to residents during mealtimes.
• Plate food attractively and ensure proper portion sizes and garnishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and serving lines; keep temperatures within required ranges.
• Manage stock, rotate perishables, label and date items, and minimize food waste.
