Sodalis Senior Living is seeking a Cook to assist the Culinary Director in preparing meals according to approved menus and standards. The role includes handling leftovers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety during food preparation and service.

Responsibilities include timely meal service, following dietary guidelines, and collaborating with staff, residents, and families. A food handlers' certificate is preferred, with willingness to obtain within two weeks.

Competenze

• Must have compassion and a desire to meet the nutritional needs of the frail elderly.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods.
• Be able to cook a variety of foods.
• Knowledge of low sodium, low cholesterol, and ADA diets.

Mansioni

• Report to work on time and be ready to carry out duties.
• Prepare and serve meals at 8 am, Noon, and 5 PM.
• Follow written menus and suggest alternatives.
• Ensure leftovers are covered, labeled, and stored properly.
• Comply with state and local food service regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining room, and pantry.
• Control portions and reduce waste.
• Assist in inventory checks and ordering as needed.
