Sodalis Senior Living is seeking a Cook to assist the Culinary Director in preparing meals according to approved menus and standards. The role requires knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and adherence to dietary restrictions, with daily meal service at set times.

You will work in a team-focused environment, ensuring portion control, minimizing waste, and maintaining regulatory compliance while providing compassionate service to residents.

Qualifications

• Must have compassion and a desire to meet nutritional needs of the frail elderly.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods.
• Knowledge of ADA diets and dietary requirements.
• Ability to work cooperatively with staff, residents, and families.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve meals at 8 am, Noon, and 5 PM (times subject to change).
• Follow written menus and suggest menu options within food groups.
• Ensure leftovers are labeled, dated, and stored properly.
• Maintain state/local food service regulations, temperatures, and labeling.
• Maintain a clean kitchen, dining room, and pantry daily.
• Contribute to reducing waste and managing portion costs.
