Job summary

Rich Square Manor and Villa in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and prepare nutritious, appealing meals for residents in a senior living setting.

You will follow menus, maintain kitchen safety, collaborate with the Dietary Manager, assist with inventory, and respond to residents’ dietary requests. A high school diploma and prior cooking experience in senior care or healthcare are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious and appetizing dishes.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with high quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment per food safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff and assist training of new staff as needed.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or order needs.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ preferences.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations including proper sanitation.
