Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is hiring a Resident Care Associate (RCA) for full-time shifts ranging 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am. The role supports residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care, following individualized care plans and documenting services to maintain dignity and quality of life.

Qualifications include Direct-Care or CNA/PCA certification, CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain), and flexibility including weekends. Comprehensive benefits are offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care or CNA/PCA certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to fulfill physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Upholds resident confidentiality and safety policies.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, to ensure resident care.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate care needs to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist with mobility and use proper techniques and equipment to prevent accidents.
• Conduct routine care rounds per individualized care plans.
• Assist with lifts/moves/transports using proper body mechanics.
• Maintain residents' skin integrity and assist with continence care as needed.
• Document daily care activities per policy; report issues promptly.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff promptly.
• Familiarize with care plans and provide support accordingly.
• Contribute observations to care planning and discuss residents' needs.
