Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford, VA is seeking a Resident Care Associate (RCA) to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will aid residents with daily activities, document care, and uphold our values of dignity and quality of life.

The role requires patient, empathetic care, CPR/First Aid where required, and flexibility, including weekends. Join us at Walk-In-Wednesday events to explore opportunities and meet our team.

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA or CNA certification required.
• Ability to assist residents with daily tasks.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Upholds resident confidentiality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Demonstrates compassion and concern for seniors and families.
• Proficient with basic office equipment and PCs.
• Aligned with Commonwealth Senior Living's mission.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks and communicate changes to the Resident Care Director.
• Aid residents with mobility using proper techniques to prevent accidents.
• Make routine care rounds to meet needs per care plan.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report issues promptly to supervisor.
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, staff.
• Familiarize with personalized care plans and support accordingly.
• Contribute insights to care planning with observations.
• Maintain a respectful, homelike environment.
