Job summary

Cambridge House is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

In this role you will assist with ADLs, monitor health, provide companionship, and follow infection control practices while collaborating with the nursing team.

Qualified applicants have at least 1 year of care experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; PCA/CNA training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate and patient.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility; adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide meal preparation assistance, hydration support, and feeding as needed.
• Observe health changes and report to nursing staff; monitor medications reminders.
• Engage residents through companionship and participation in activities.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control procedures; respond to emergencies per guidelines.
