Job summary

Cambridge House is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing direct care to residents in a senior living setting. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and support the nursing team to ensure dignity and independence for residents.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills. CNA certification, CPR/First Aid preferred, and a willingness to pass background checks are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of nursing care procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with eating, hydration, and nutrition needs.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team.
• Assist with medication reminders and basic tasks under supervision.
• Foster companionship and social participation to support mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment; follow infection control protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with safety procedures as needed.
