Job summary

Generations Assisted Living & Memory Care in West Jefferson, NC is seeking a compassionate Nurse Aide 1 to provide quality resident care and support daily activities in line with the facility’s philosophy and policies.

You will assist with meals, personal care, and housekeeping, document changes, and build warm relationships with residents and families while ensuring safety and dignity.

Experience with older adults and a willingness to obtain certification within 6 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide 1 or willing to obtain Personal Care Services certification within 6 months.
• Experience in caregiving to older individuals.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Desire to work with older adults.
• Friendly, caring disposition.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with policies and resident rights.
• Assist residents in meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Adhere to each resident’s service plan; notify coordinators of changes.
• Answer and respond to resident calls.
• Assist with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Check on residents and report findings.
• Encourage participation in activities and meals; assist with meals as needed.
• Assist with dining room cleanup after meals.
• Help keep residents’ rooms clean and tidy.
• Assist with residents’ personal and facility laundry.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with residents and their families.
