Job summary

Victorian Senior Care in Edenton, NC is seeking a qualified CNA or Personal Care Aide to assist residents with daily living activities per the care plan. You will help with bathing, dressing, mobility, eating, and personal care while following physician and RN guidance.

Responsibilities include supporting residents during activities, assisting with transportation, and helping staff carry out planned programs.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain CNA or Personal Care Aide Certificate (80-Hour) with Personal Care Aide Training within 6-Months of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to Lift, Push, Pull and Carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program and maintain during employment.
• Must have a clear SBI record and maintain during period of employment.
• Must have two-step tuberculin skin test (first test prior to hire and second test within two weeks of first test).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living as needed according to Care Plan.
• Assure residents are dressed appropriately in living areas.
• Assist residents with self-help skills to maximize independence.
• Perform personal care tasks as trained and as approved by RN.
• Provide personal assistance as needed or required.
• Respond to hand bell or signaling calls.
• Assist with transportation as indicated by ED/Administrator.
• Assist the Activities Coordinator in planned activities.
• Help maintain clothes in proper order and make beds as needed.
• Provide towels and washcloths as needed.
• Care for resident equipment (urinals, bed pans, shower chairs, etc.).
• Ensure snacks are provided and assist at mealtime.
