Job summary

Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Route Service Representative in Cranston, RI, to manage a demanding daily route, pick up and deliver with precision, and act as the primary liaison with veterinary clinics and pet parents.

The role requires physical activity, emotional resilience, and high accountability. You will ensure accurate documentation, build trusted relationships with clinics, and operate with professionalism and compassion on every stop.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or route-based roles is preferred.
• Ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Review daily routes and load equipment; ensure items are correct before departure.
• Visit veterinary clinics; maintain professional relationships and follow clinic procedures.
• Retrieve deceased pets respectfully and ensure proper handling and documentation.
• Use company technology to scan pets at pickup/delivery; verify names/IDs/instructions.
• Document requests and complete follow-through; communicate with pet parents when needed.
