Job summary

Breckenridge Village of Tyler seeks a full-time Emergency Medical Technician to join our caring team. The EMT provides short-term medical coverage, first aid, and emergency care within certification scope, while collaborating with BV staff to ensure health and safety for adults with IDD on campus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current EMT Basic certification in the state of residence is required.
• Current EMT Basic certification in Texas is required.
• Cannot be barred from working in any state.
• Experience preferred: 1 year with IDD adults; care provider experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical needs and provide appropriate first aid and emergency care within EMT certification scope.
• Collaborate with BV staff and leadership to assess situations needing medical attention.
• Provide medical coverage during events and campus shifts as needed.
• Maintain documentation and follow BV policies and procedures.
