Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

You will work with physicians and teams, document care, and educate patients and families to support safe outcomes and excellent service in a busy hospital setting. The role requires RN licensure plus a degree, ACLS/BCLS/ENPC and other certifications, with seasonal staffing expectations and weekend/holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• ENPC within 2 years of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 1 year of employment start date.
• PALS within 2 years of employment start date.
• TNCC within 2 years of employment start date.
• RN license (RN).
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and standards.
• Collaborates with medical providers and care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care.
• Documents administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about condition, status, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
