Job summary

St. David's HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. You will use established nursing models, advocate for patients and families, and support exceptional clinical outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Required: ACLS, ENPC, NIHSS, TNCC within specified timelines; RN license; Associate Degree. No travel. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, wellbeing support, paid time off, 401(k) with match, education

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• ENPC must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
