Job summary

St. David’s Georgetown Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centric care. You will work with physicians and the care team to assess pain, perform procedures, and document care in the medical record with empathy and accuracy.

You will educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow‑up plans, and you will support healthy self-management after discharge. A path toward ACLS, BCLS, and pediatric/trauma certifications is provided.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with medical providers and care team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Assess patient pain and promote effective management with timely reassessments.
• Document care in patient records promptly and accurately.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Support self-management and health maintenance post-discharge.
