Job summary

VillageMD in New Jersey seeks a Registered Nurse to support patients and enhance their care experience. You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and clearly communicate care plans and services.

Requirements include active RN license, 1 year of clinical experience preferred, phlebotomy experience, and BLS certification within 90 days. Primary care or urgent care exposure is a plus, with Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

Active RN license to practice.
1 year of experience preferred in clinical settings.
Phlebotomy experience required.
BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.
Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient support and communication to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Welcome and prepare patients for appointments; inform them of services and procedures.
Administer PO, IM, and ID medications as directed, following safety guidelines.
Perform point-of-care tests, EKGs, and wound care including sutures/staple removal.
Document vital signs, histories, and screenings; educate patients on medications and diet.
Assist with prescription refills and patient instructions.
Prepare treatment areas and maintain cleanliness of rooms/equipment.
Conduct phlebotomy and process specimens.
Maintain quality controls and equipment checks.
