Job summary

VillageMD in Berkeley Heights, NJ is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support patients and enhance their care experience. You will welcome patients, prepare them for visits, and clearly communicate required information about services they will receive.

The ideal candidate holds a valid RN license, has 1 year of experience preferred, and is experienced in phlebotomy with current BLS certification (or to obtain within 90 days). Spanish-speaking applicants are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Current BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and prepares the patient for appointments.
• Informs patients of relevant information about their visit and services.
• Administers PO, IM, and ID medications as directed.
• Performs point-of-care tests and EKGs; manages sutures/staples and dressings.
• Collects vital signs, histories, and screenings.
• Provides medication and diet instructions to patients.
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed.
• Maintains treatment rooms and equipment; performs phlebotomy.
