Job summary

Village Medical in New Jersey is seeking a per-diem Registered Nurse to support patient care and enhance the patient experience. You will welcome patients, administer medications as directed, perform point-of-care tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy, and educate patients on medications and diet.

The role requires an active RN license, 1 year of experience preferred, and BLS certification within 90 days. Spanish speaking candidates are a plus, and a strong team-oriented environment is offered.

Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
1 year of experience preferred.
Phlebotomy experience required.
Current BLS certification preferred; required within 90 days of employment.
High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred.
Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient support and communication to create an exceptional experience.
Welcome and prepare the patient for their appointment; inform about services.
Prepares and administers PO, IM, and ID medications as directed by the Provider.
Perform point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, and suture/staple removal, and dressing changes.
Collect and document vital signs, histories, and screenings.
Provide patient education on medications and diet; manage refills as directed.
Prepare patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations.
Perform phlebotomy and process specimens.
Maintain and clean treatment rooms and equipment; conduct quality checks.
