Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Middletown, CT, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like environment. You will join a team that values support, camaraderie, and lasting relationships with residents and associates.

Responsibilities include assessing resident status, supervising aides, coordinating with providers, and responding to emergencies. Current RN license and CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an approved RN program per state requirements.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience with the elderly in a paid or volunteer role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports significant changes in resident health to appropriate leaders.
• Directs and supervises daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and uses personal emergency response system as needed.
