Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Newton, MA is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver nursing care in a warm, home-like environment for our residents.

You will assess residents, coordinate care with the care team, and supervise Resident Care Assistants while mentoring Lead RCAs and ensuring regulatory compliance. A valid RN license with CPR and 1–2 years of experience with the elderly are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an RN and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is desirable

Responsibilities

• Assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes to the care team per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise daily work of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balance service demands with resident independence support.
• Recognize and report elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation per state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and activate backup as needed
