Job summary

Bethesda is seeking a registered nurse to accurately assess residents' health status on admission and throughout their stay. You will work with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update dynamic care plans and document plans and interventions in the chart.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in becoming a registered nurse.
• Current RN license in the state you will be working.
• CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses residents' health status on admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Communicates significant changes to the interdisciplinary team (IDT).
• Documents assessments and develops dynamic care plans.
• Reviews and revises care plans as needs change; documents plan changes.
• Administers medications, treatments, and IV fluids safely and timely.
• Notifies physician using SBARR; maintains composure during crises.
• Assists in answering call lights and providing resident care (ADLs).
• Upholds Bethesda policies and completes required offerings.
